St. Francis Anglo Indian Girls High School has a long and proud history dating back to 1898, when it was founded by the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, a religious order dedicated to education and community service. The order was established by Sister Helene de Chappotin, a visionary leader who believed in the transformative power of education. Known as Mother Mary Of The Passion, she and her fellow Franciscan Missionaries of Mary founded the institution as a beacon of hope and opportunity for the local community. Over the years, our school has continued to uphold its founders’ legacy of academic excellence, social responsibility, and compassion for all.
